ABOUT ME

My name is Kelly Mikesell, and I started this blog in 2013 simply as a way to document what I was learning and applying about gardening here in Las Vegas, Nevada. I had been wanting to learn how to grow vegetables for my family, herbs for cooking and beautiful flowers to enjoy.

I bake yummy treats and love to try new recipes.

I run half marathons.

My dad, brother and I at the Bryce Canyon half marathon, Justin and I at the St. George Marathon, and me at the Red Rock Canyon half marathon. 

I am a Boy Scout mom and volunteer with the local Boy Scouts.

I am a missionary mom and have one son serving an LDS missions right now, one that recently returned and one that is waiting to go!

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

I love spending time with my husband, Sean, and our six children.

My goal is to add "great gardener" to that list one day.

I am learning that Las Vegas is, in fact, a great place to garden! Hopefully, you'll be inspired to start gardening too!
